General features
- Features of acute myelomonocytic leukemia
Clinical presentations
- May present with hepatosplenomegaly, lymphadenopathy and granulocytic sarcoma
- Common CNS involvement
Key morphological features
- Myeloblasts, monoblasts and promonocytes
- Eosinophil precursors with prominent basophilic staining granules
Genetic abnormalities
- inv(16)(p13.1;q22): Fusion of CBFβ to MYH11
Negative prognosis indicator
- Older patients with KIT mutation
