General features
- Benign
- Probably arising from glomus body
- May be associated with NF1 mutation
Clinical presentations
- Small, blue-red papules or nodules
- May occur at anywhere, most commonly subungual sites
- Painful, often in response to temperature changes
Morphological features
- Relative monotonous round to oval nuclei
- Surrounding vessels
- Glomangioma: glomus tumor surrounding large irregular vessels
Marks
- Positive for smooth muscle actin
- May be positive for CD34
Management
- Surgery
