General features
- Commonly incidental finding
- May present as mass
- Calcification or hemorrhage may occur
Clinical features
- Commonly asymptomatic
- Hemorrhagic cysts: Acute flank pain
Pathological findings
- Thin-walled cortical cysts
- Filled with clear yellow fluid
- Single layer of cuboidal, flattened or atrophic epithelium
Diagnosis
- Radiologic studies: Sonography, CT, MRI
Management
- Percutaneous aspiration
- Continuous negative-pressure catheter drainage
- Sclerotherapy
