General features
  • Commonly multifocal
  • Commonly associated with invasive carcinoma
Clinical presentations
  • Hematuria
  • Markedly atypical cells in urine (seen in any high grade urothelial carcinoma of any location along urinary tract)
Key morphological features
Genetics
  • Complex abnormalities, detected by FISH (Urovysion, etc)
  • Various mutations, including Rb
Treatment
  • bCG, hyperthermia, mitomycin-C, surgery
