General
features
- AKA infundibular cyst
- Probably arise from infundibular portion of hair follicles
- May be infected or inflamed
Clinical
features
- Commonly at head, neck, upper trunk
- May involve other sites
- Smooth dome-shaped swellings
- Usually contains creamy debris
Pathological
features
- Cyst lined by squamous epithelium with granular layer
- Containing keratin and lipid debris from sebaceous secretions
Management
- Excision
