General features
- Most common
- Usually small (<5 mm)
- More common in rectosigmoid
- Likely no risk for subsequent malignancy if small
Key pathogenesis
- Delayed shedding of surface epithelial cells
Clinical presentations
- Usually asymptomatic
- May cause GI bleeding
Key morphological features
- Well-formed, elongated glands and crypts
- Serrated (saw tooth) or star-shaped appearance
- Usually do not have dysplasia
Treatment
- Polypectomy
