- Benign
- Localized melanocytic proliferation in all ages
- Lentigo simplex: Most common, not due to sun exposure
- Solar lentigo: Sun exposure induced
Clinical
features
- Multiple
- Sharply circumscribed
macule or patch
- Hyperpigmentation
Pathological
features
- Elongation of rete ridges
- Increased pigmentation at tips of rete ridges
- Non-nested melanocytic hyperplasia
- Solar elastosis in solar lentigo
Management
- Topical creams
- Cryotherapy
