General features
  • Dilated tortuous vessels, usually submucosal
  • Common in cirrhotic patients, usually due to alcoholism
Etiology
  • Portal hypertension induced collateral between portal and caval systems
Clinical presentations
Diagnosis
  • Endoscopy
  • Image studies
Treatment
  • Prevent bleeding
  • Treatment of bleeding
